Sharon Fellows recently retired after 30 years at Binghamton University. She was the Assistant Director and Engineering Communications Coordinator in the Engineering Design Division. "Design has always been an important part of my life so the transition from designing educational programs to Art programs was the perfect way to take my love of teaching and program development into a new medium.
In 2016 I went to Providence R.I. to become certified to teach the Zentangle method and in 2019 I became a certified SoulCollage Facilitator. I have taken many classes in different art forms. Creating ZenArtSoul was the perfect platform to create new opportunities to teach and be creative.
Lynette Menichelli is a retired high school guidance counselor. "As a school counselor, I witnessed the benefits of art as a way to calm and reach students with whom I worked. After retirement I discovered Zentangle and in 2016 I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). My goal was and continues to be to share the calming and relaxing effects of the Zentangle Method and to also help others explore the wonderful world of Art."
Geri Chapman I took my first Zentangle® class in 2017 with Doris Wilber, CZT and watercolor artist. With a degree in art and a career not in the art field this was a real turning point for me. I found a way to finally satisfy my life long desire to be creative. I then joined the Vestal Art club where I met Sharon and Lynette. I continued to find Zentangle such a positive art form and my desire to learn more grew. In 2020 with the covid restrictions Zentangle Inc.® offered their first ever virtual CZT training. For me becoming a CZT was a dream come true. Upon completion ZenArtSoul offered me an opportunity to teach. I feel strongly about the benefits of Zentangle and am grateful to be able to share them. And so, another chapter in my life begins, it's never too late to begin again! In my free time if I'm not drawing, I'm on my yoga mat or hiking with my husband.
